EditByBSEditor: I made for one of that capricious mini competitions held regularly over at Retro Remakes. When I say ‘tiny’ I mean literally. It runs in resolution 160×100 pixels using only 4 shades of gray. That’s almost as good as an 80s top of the line calculator display. Did I just heard ‘Peachy!’? As a real retro-pervert you’ll even want to zoom it up fullscreen, relishing the chunks of oversized pixels punch you in the nose.
Compared to your regular shmup, the gameplay manifests some traces of originality - you can actually take out the payload the enemies are carrying, disarming them into helpless, floating lumps of… well, pixels. But if you’re into big league stuff like causing a Waves of sighs around your Mothership’s caffeteria you should practice the core-hits. Those puppies instantly turn even the toughest of enemy goons into delicate space dust.
Despite its crappy appearances (we politely call it ‘abstract’ these days), most of the people who played this game said it’s quite addictive. Press fire!
