Brothersoft Editor: CPALWINX is a DirectX port of the SDLPAL project (http://sdlpal.codeplex.com) via Axbreeze Game Library. SDLPAL (authored by Wei Mingzhi) is an SDL-based reimplementation of the classic Chinese-language RPG "Xian Jian Qi Xia Zhuan" (also known as PAL or Legend of Sword and Fairy). CPALWINX only runs on Windows 7 with a DirectX 10 compatible graphics card. It significantly improves the text output quality. However, some special visual effects are not implemented. The source code is distributed under the terms of GNU General Public License (Version 3). To compile the game, you need Visual C++ 2010 Express Edition, DirectX Software Development Kit (June 2010), and Axbreeze Game Library (Version 1.9). A playable precompiled executable is included. To run the game, you need DirectX End-User Runtime (June 2010 or later). See "readme.txt" for more information. Note: please save the game (F5) frequently just in case it crashes due to some unfixed bugs (F8 to load).
