Mercenaries of Astonia was eventually shutdown, this did not however cause the players of the community who loved the game to just give up on it. A few set out to purchase the source code for the game engine and the right to host the game. The Gods (Admin) on Mercadia have purchased the source code and the rights to host the game. The game has a large world filled with quests, monsters and a great community of players. The game is getting updated all the time with more quests and there is more equipment being added all the time.
