BS Editor: Nickelpig Media LLC is an odd mix of video games, comic strips, and underground music. The Company's first product, a PC video game called Orbles, reflects that mix. An array of dynamic playing pieces with names such as Gorgons and Shifters bounce into the game with tinny sound effects, each affecting the playing field in unique ways. The player must manage those pieces using Bombs and Slammers, while a soundtrack from eight Florida bands plays in the background. Contributing to the game's development are a myriad of local talents, including artist and UCF graduate Joshua Brodsky (time and Again, 8 Crazy Nights), and musical groups Dodger, The Ocean Floor, Mas Pan, Doris Delay, and Fire at Will. Retailing at $19.95, Orbles provides players with features other Independent video games do not, including four modes of game play, customizable backgrounds, high-quality artwork and sound effects, and of course, the extensive soundtrack.
