EditByBrothersoft: On the 1000th year anniversary of Ferdinand Magellan’s trip around the world, the United EARTH Government, in a commemorative gesture, commissioned an armada of space ships to explore the universe. Shortly after embarking on their quest, the armada was attacked by a mysterious alien battle cruiser. In response to this unprovoked destruction of one of the armada’s ships, two assault fighters were launched to engage the enemy. The alien battle cruiser soon turned to flee through a nearby Worm hole, with the two fighters in pursuit. Now trapped in another dimension, the two fighters are faced with the continuous onslaught of alien craft.

Two years in the making, Project Magellan is a high speed space shooter, in the vein of R-Type and Raiden 2.

Following this tradition, Project Magellan features fast, furious, "shoot-em-up" action with a myriad of killer enemies on the screen. In addition to armed drones that shadow the players’ movements, power up weaponry includes nine levels of tracking missiles, spread shots, star bursts, energy torpedoes, and particle lasers.

Project Magellan employs superb 3D artwork and movies rendered in 16 bit, presenting the player with thousands of picture perfect colors and scenes. The ten song soundtrack includes a mix of classically influenced electronic music to enhance game play. The game’s ten levels are formatted on a two-player simultaneous play system that encourages cooperative game playing. In essence, Project Magellan’s combination of excellent artwork, pulsating music, and imaginative weaponry offers the arcade player a stupendous game playing experience that will keep them coming back for more.
